Such big and bold flavors require an equally bold whiskey to stand up to them, and the 1916 Bourbon fits the bill perfectly.
In a shaker tin, combine bourbon, ginger syrup, and lime juice, then shake well. Strain into a collins glass with fresh ice. Top with club soda and stir. Float a couple dashes on the top of the cocktail, and garnish with a lime wedge.
